Who are we?
We are a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization located in Onslow County, North Carolina. We are a group of people whose lives have been touched by type one diabetes in some way, and want to create a supportive and welcoming community for others who have been affected by it.
Why did we start Type One Kids?
We started Type One Kids after we joined the type one diabetes community in September 2022. We saw how little support there was for families and kids in eastern North Carolina and we wanted to change that.
Our Mission
At Type One Kids, our mission is to create a local and accessible community for children with type one diabetes and their families living in eastern North Carolina.
