Type One Kids is hoping to create a supply bank for Onslow County. Whether a child's family is in a pinch due to finances, insurance issues, or simply the curveballs of type one diabetes, we want to collect the materials that we can to have on hand should someone need them. We are hoping to start with test strips, lancets, and other nonprescription items. We eventually hope to be able to stock extra pump supplies and CGMs.
Type One Kids is a 501(c)3 nonprofit organization. This means that we can apply for nonprofit grants from various sources. We just submitted our first grant application for the Clif Family Foundation.
We are currently working on putting everything together for a holiday event this December!
